Sales skills in a regulated business
Client conversations need to respect your firm's professional and compliance requirements. Agree those boundaries with the people responsible for compliance when designing the training. This programme addresses sales skills; it does not replace required qualifications or compliance training.
Who the training is for
Brokers, advisers, account managers and business development teams who want to improve how they understand client needs and manage new or renewal opportunities.
What the training can cover
- Discovery questions about the client's circumstances and priorities.
- Explaining the proposed service and its value.
- Preparing for renewal and retention conversations.
- Qualification, decision-making and next steps.
- Recording and reviewing opportunities.
Format and follow-up
The content and examples are agreed around your team's work. Discuss workshops, practice and follow-up coaching, together with any review your compliance team needs to complete.
Fees and timing
Fees are quoted after a discovery call. The proposal sets out the work, the people involved, the timing and the fee. Any ongoing support is agreed separately.
Questions about the training
Does this provide a regulatory qualification?
No. It is sales skills training. Your firm remains responsible for checking the qualifications and permissions required for each role.
Can we focus on renewals?
Discuss the renewal conversations your team handles and the changes you want to make. These can form part of the agreed training scope.
Can the examples use our own products and services?
Relevant examples can be agreed with your team, including any necessary compliance review.
